Install a new upper bearing outer race and the spe-
cial tools as shown.
While holding the installer shaft with the wrench, INSTALLER
turn the lower nut gradually until the groove in ATTACHMENT A
installer attachment A aligns with the upper end of
the steering head. Th is will allow you to install the
upper bearing outer race. UPPER BEARING
OUTER RACE
Install a new lower bearing outer race and the spe-
cial tools as shown.
While holding the insta ller shaft with the wrench,
tu rn the upper nut gradually until the groove in
installer attachment B al igns with the lower end of
the steering head. This will allow the instal lation of
the lower bearing outer race.
