4-cylinder petrol engine (1.2 l direct injection, 4 V, turbocharger, EA211) - Edition 02.2017
– Fit seal with oil strainer -2- into cylinder head -1-.
– Fit gasket onto dowel pins -arrows-.
– Screw 2 studs M6x120 mm (standard) -items 2 and 4-, onto
the cylinder head.
– Carefully lower camshaft housing -3- vertically onto studs in
cylinder head.
Note
Take care not to tilt the camshaft housing.
– Tighten camshaft housing bolts
The remaining installation steps are carried out in reverse se‐
quence - note the following points:
– Install high-pressure pipe
– Install notched belt (adjusting valve timing)
– Install ignition coils
– Fit the coolant pump
– Electrical connections and routing ⇒ Current flow diagrams,
Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
Note
Risk of damage to valves and piston crowns after working on
valve gear.
– Turn the engine carefully at least 2 rotations to ensure that
none of the valves make contact when the starter is operated.
