♦ Assembly tool - T10487-
♦ Release tool - T10527- and release tool - T10527/1-
♦ Screwdriver with minimum shaft length of 250 mm (not illus‐
trated)
Work sequence
Rotate crankshaft to "TDC" as follows:
– Set piston in cylinder no. 1 to TDC position.
⇒ "2.3 Checking distribution timing", page 84
– Remove plug, and loosen securing bolt of camshaft adjuster
on inlet side by approx. one turn.
⇒ "3.3 Removing and installing camshaft adjuster",
page 104
– Loosen securing bolt of toothed belt pulley on exhaust side by
approx. one turn
⇒ "3.4 Removing and installing toothed belt pulley",
page 108 .
– Loosen securing bolt of tensioning roller -1- using insert tool,
13 mm - T10500- .
– Release tension on tensioner at eccentric -2- using wrench -
T10499- .
– Detach toothed belt from camshaft sprockets.
