4-cylinder petrol engine (1.2 l direct injection, 4 V, turbocharger, EA211) - Edition 02.2017
– Move clear hoses at bracket -3-.
– Unscrew bolt -2-.
– Release clips -arrows- and remove upper toothed belt guard
-1-.
– Remove noise insulation ⇒ General body repairs, exterior;
Rep. gr. 66 ; Noise insulation; Removing and installing noise
insulation .
Rotate crankshaft to "TDC" as follows:
– Remove ignition coil 1 with output stage - N70- and the spark
plug cylinder 1 ⇒ page 269
Note
Risk of damage to engine.

The fixing bolt - T10340- has 2 stop positions in the crankshaft.
♦
It is essential to check the "TDC position" as follows.
♦
– Carefully insert a screwdriver with a shaft length of at least
250 mm into spark plug hole so that it contacts piston crown.
– Turn the crankshaft in the normal direction of rotation until the
piston in cylinder 1 shows "BDC".
The screwdriver is turned in the -direction of the arrow-.
