Versions with or without oil
strainers are used depending on
build date.
If no strainer was installed at the
factory, a strainer is instead inte‐
grated in camshaft control valve
1 - N205- .
Damage may result if the strainer
is installed in both locations!
16 - Oil seal
❑ For inlet camshaft
❑ Replace

17 - Oil seal
❑ For exhaust camshaft (pulley end)
❑ Replace

18 - Sealing cap
Camshaft housing - tightening torque and sequence
Note
Renew bolts that are tightened with specified further tightening
angle.
– Tighten bolts in stages in the sequence shown:

Tightening torque/angle specification
10 Nm
turn 180° further
