Action
Fit two guide pins in opposite holes, diagonal
to each other.
Apply grease and fit the six o-rings into the
grooves at the screw holes in the base.
Replace o-rings if damaged!
Put four attachment screws into the holes of
the base. Do not put screws in the holes
where the guide pins are fitted in the frame.
Place the base very carefully on the guide
pins, in order to keep screws and o-rings in
position.
Fasten the four attachment screws carefully
but do not tighten them yet. It must still be
possible to remove the guide pins and re-
place them with the remaining attachment
screws.
Remove the guide pins and replace them with
the remaining attachment screws.
Secure the base to gearbox axis 1 with its
attachment screws.
Refit the oil drain hose to the base.
Secure the oil tube with cable straps inside
the base.
CAUTION
The IRB 1520 robot weighs 170 kg.
All lifting accessories used must be sized
accordingly!
