6-2-60 ENGINE GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSIS (J18 ENGINE WITH WU TWC)
TROUBLESHOOTING (DTC P0141)
STEP
1 Was ENGINE DIAG. FLOW TABLE performed?
2 HO2S-2 Heater Check
1) Disconnect HO2S-2 coupler with ignition switch OFF.
2) Check resistance between "E93-3" and "E93-4"
terminal of HO2S-2 connector.
Is it within 4 – 10 W (at 20_C, 68_F)?
3 HO2S-2 Power Supply Check
1) Connect HO2S-2 connector.
2) Check voltage between E91-5 terminal of ECM
connector and body ground with ignition switch ON.
Is it 10 – 14 V?
4 HO2S-2 Heater Operation Check
1) Warm up engine completely.
2) Check voltage between E91-5 terminal of ECM
connector and body ground with engine idling.
Is it 0 – 1 V?
ACTION YES
Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE
DIAG. FLOW
TABLE.
Go to Step 3. Replace HO2S-2.
Go to Step 4. "B / W" or "Lg / B"
circuit open/shorted
to ground.
If wire and connec-
tions are OK, substi-
tute a known-good
ECM and recheck.
Intermittent trouble. Poor E91-5
Check intermittent connection.

"Intermittent and substitute a known-
Poor Connection" in good ECM and
section 0A. recheck.
