CODE NO.32 MAP SENSOR (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)
CIRCUIT
(SIGNAL VOLTAGE HIGH – HIGH PRESSURE – LOW VACUUM)
Disconnect MAP sensor coupler with ignition switch
OFF.
With ignition switch ON, is voltage applied to "P" wire
terminal of MAP sensor coupler about 4 – 5V?
Check MAP sensor referring to "MAP SENSOR"
in this section.
Is it in good condition?
"P" wire shorted to "G" wire, "G/R" wire open, poor C12
connection, poor C3 connection, "G" wire open or poor
MAP sensor-to-coupler connection.
If wire and connections are OK, intermittent trouble of
faulty ECM (PCM).
Recheck referring to "INTERMITTENT AND POOR
CONNECTION" in Section 0A.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform final check, referring to "FINAL CHECK" in this section to
confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
