6A3-54 ENGINE MECHANICAL (J18 TYPE ENGINE)
1. Exhaust manifold stiffener
1. Engine RH mounting bracket
1. P/S oil pump bracket
2. P/S oil pump
15) Remove exhaust manifold stiffener.
16) Remove engine RH mounting bracket.
17) Disconnect P/S oil pump and generator from P/S oil pump
3. Generator
18) Remove P/S oil pump bracket.
19) Loosen cylinder head bolts in such order as numbered in figure
1. Crankshaft pulley side
2. Flywheel side
3. Bolt (M6)
20) Check all around cylinder head for any other parts required to
21) Remove cylinder head with intake manifold, exhaust manifold
bracket.
If mounting bolts of P/S oil pump cannot be removed, remove
front torque bush and rear mounting from mounting member
and raise engine by using lifting device and remove bolts.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to raise engine excessively and not to
cause transmission to contact body, steering gear
box, etc.
and remove them.
NOTE:
Don't forget to remove bolt (M6) as shown in figure.
be removed or disconnected and remove or disconnect what-
ever necessary.
and water outlet cap.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage fins of radiator.
