6A1-38 ENGINE MECHANICAL (G13/G16 TYPE ENGINE)
1. Exhaust No.1 pipe
1. Fuel feed hose
2. Fuel return hose 3. Fuel pressure regulator
6) Disconnect exhaust No.1 pipe from exhaust manifold.
7) Disconnect the following electric wires:
8) Disconnect the following vacuum hoses:
9) Disconnect fuel feed hose from feed pipe and disconnect fuel
10) Remove cylinder head cover as previously outlined.
11) Disconnect the following engine cooling water (coolant)
1. Cylinder head cover
2. Gasket
3. O-ring
D Ignition coil
D ECT sensor
D Ground wire from intake manifold
D EGR valve (if equipped)
D Injectors
D TP sensor
D IAC valve
D Oxygen sensor (if equipped)
D EVAP canister purge valve (if equipped)
and then release above wire harnesses from clamps.
D EVAP canister purge hose from canister purge valve (if
equipped)
D Brake booster hose from intake manifold
return hose from fuel pressure regulator.
Loosen all valve lash adjusting screws fully.

D Radiator inlet hose
D Heater inlet hose
D IAC valve outlet hose
