6A3-20 ENGINE MECHANICAL (J18 TYPE ENGINE)

CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove ignition coil cover.
3) Disconnect ignition coil couplers.
4) Remove ignition coils.
5) Remove oil level gauge.
6) Disconnect breather hose and PCV hose from cylinder head
7) Remove cylinder head cover.
INSTALLATION
1) Remove oil, old sealant, and dust from sealing surfaces on cyl-
:Area to apply sealant "A"
2) Install O-rings and cylinder head cover gasket to cylinder head
3) Install cylinder head side seal and cylinder head cover to cylin-

4) Tighten nuts to specified torque.
5) Install oil level gauge.
6) Connect breather hose and PCV hose to cylinder head cover.
7) Install ignition coils and connect ignition coil couplers.

8) Install ignition coil cover.

9) Connect negative cable at battery.

NOTE:
Be sure to check each of these parts for deterioration or
any damage before installation and replace if found defec-
tive.
