TABLE B-1 FUEL INJECTOR CIRCUIT CHECK
1. No.1 injector
2. No.2 injector
3. No.3 injector
4. No.4 injector
5. Main fuse
6. Relay box
7. Main relay
INSPECTION
STEP
1 Check Injector for Operating Sound.
Using sound scope, check each injector for operating
sound at engine cranking.
Do all 4 injectors make operating sound?
2 Wire Harness Check
1) Remove ECM and disconnect connectors from ECM.
2) Check for resistance between the following terminals of
ECM connector disconnected.
C20-20 – E92-8
C20-8 – E92-8
C20-1 – E92-8
C20-2 – E92-8
Is check result as specified?
3 Does none of 4 injectors make operating sound at Step 1?
4 Check power circuit of injectors for open and short.
Is it normal?
ACTION

Go to Step 2. Go to Step 3.
Fuel injector circuit "Bl/R", "Bl/Y",
is in good condition. "Bl/W" and "Bl/B"
shorted each other.
Go to Step 4. Check coupler
connection and wire
harness of injector
not making operat-
ing sound and
injector itself (Refer
to "Fuel Injector In-
spection" in Section
6E4).
Check all 4 injectors Power circuit open
for resistance or short.
respectively.
If resistance is OK,
substitute a known-
good ECM and
recheck.
