This Section provides engineering information for the SX-100

2. SYSTEM OVERVIEW
General
The SX-100 and SX-200 are advanced electronic PBXs employ-

ing digitally controlled solid-state, space-division switching
with stored-program control. The capacities of the PBXs are as fol-
lows:
SX-100:
able for assignment to lines, trunks and additional receivers.
SX-200: A total capacity of 256 ports, of which 208 ports are
available for assignment to lines, trunks and additional receiv-
ers.
The maximum possible combination of trunks and lines which can be
accommodated is dependent upon the number of receivers installed,
and is illustrated in Figure 2-1.
2.02 The PBXs are electrically compatible with most existing exten-
sion key telephone, Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and Central
Office (CO) equipment, and provide:
The use of a flexible numbering plan
The simultaneous use of DTMF and rotary dial (RD) stations
Optional use of attendant consoles - two maximum
Extensive selection of standard and optional features
Freedom from scheduled maintenance
Automatic
Six power fail transfer circuits (SX-100)
Twelve power fail transfer circuits (SX-200)
Optional reserve power supply
The use of the SUPERSET 31M and SUPERSET 4TM electronic
telephone sets.
2.03 SX-100 consists of a single cabinet (containing the switching
circuitry and the system power supply) -and a desk-type atten-
dant console equipped with pushbutton dial pad and control keys. The
equipment may optionally be supplied as a cabinet with a wall-
mounting assembly (refer to Part 3).
