TIMING
DISMANTLING THE TIMING GEAR (HEAD IN
PLACE).
- Remove ·
- the radiator,
1he fan belt,
- the spark plugs.
- Remove the crankshaft pulley nut
- with a BA 7 gearbox · apply the handbrake and
engage 4th Gear.
· with a
ZF
transmission, remove the protector
plates and bloc the flywheel with a lever
- Remove the timing housing.
Neutralise the chain tensioner spring.

Sed1s tensioner (3) .
place the ratchet (a)

Remove the tensioner and its plate.
Recover the filter.
