- Using dial
indicator
support
F
, make sure that
the half housings ore not out of flush by more
than 0.02 mm.
•
If they
ore,
replace
the clutch housing and re·
commence tightening as previously described.
• Locate the indicator support on the
interme-
'diote georshoft end face, and engage
it
in the
intermediate georshoft bore.
·Rotate the dial indicator one complete revolu-
tion on the outer race of the rear bearing.
-
The
out of parallel of the race,
with
respect
to the rear
face of
the
half housings, must not
exceed 0.02 mm.
•
If the above value 1s exceeded, the race
should
be
straightened by striking
it
lightly
with a mallet through drift S.
·Make sure the above operation does not tighten
the
intermediate
gears haft.
- Both bolts
1
should be loosened, and then re-
tightened if bind is noted in the shaft.
•
Repeot
the
check
for
parallelism.
