REPLACIN G A WING

UNFASTENING
To render the upper port of the wing more
accessible, unfosten the front port of the wing
{e) without distorttng 1t.
- Separate the spot welding
{ f) - a long the buttress
- (g) - on the lower edge of the one piece side.
Smooth the welding on the boot panel {h).
PREPARING THE NEW PANEL
• Check and touch up the surface of the new
wing.
- Paint the lower foce
- Bore the edge to be welded
- Drill a number of 6 mm holes (P ) at 60 mm
apart on the front port of the wmg (for wel -
ding).
- Drow a straight line (i) 50 mm under the upper
ridge on the panel, curved at the end to meet
the boot ope ning
- Cut along this line
NOTE - This distance 1s given os on inclico-
t1on.
ALINEMENT AND ASSEMBLY
Al igning the wing
- Holding the panel tn place with the front port
against the butt ress
(k) - its lower port must engage 1n the wheel
arch, have the some curve and rest
against the one piece side .
(I) - the central ridge on the wing panel must
line up with that of the door.
