REASSEMBLY

• Assemble the gaiter 8 and the spacer 7
- Insert this assembly into the cover 6 after
greas ing it.
• Push the spacer in until it abuts.
• Clomp the shaft vertically in
a
vice fitted
with aluminium jaws.
SI ide over the shaft :
• The retaining ring
- The assembled protector
• Insta ll the bearing pock on the shaft.
• Drive it down until it abuts using the drift
n° 0 .0404 and o hammer
• Check that the lower port of the bearing pock
is flush with the bottom of the shaft groove .
• Make three equidistant punch marks, sprea·
ding the splines on the sho ft towards the hub
of the bearing pock, using o centre punch.
