RE-ASSEMBLY ·ADJUSTMENT
CHECKING THE BACKLASH
Check in the
4
positions, following the pro-
cess indicated in class 5, page 03 18 and 03 19.
The minimum amount of backlash must be equal
to :
0.20
+
0.05
- 0.02
- Fit the

assembly bolts, fitted with new
"On-
duflex" washers, and tighten them to
7.2 ft.lbs
(1 m.kg).
- Refi t the differential on the car following the
instructions given in class
5,
page
02
05 and
02 06.

- Use ESSO GEAR OIL GP 90
