It difficulty is encountered when removing a
504 L drum
- Remove plug (1 ).
Push the brake lever w11h a screw driver to release
it from the stud (2). (Shoes will then be fully
retracted).
- Dismantle the drum.
- Use key

for the removal and re-fitting of lateral
retaining springs
IMPORT ANT · The springs must be renewed after
each dismantling.
