·Set dial indicator to zero at the mean high spot
found for one revolution of the drive shaft.
·Move the dial indicator support until the ind i -
cator finger rests on the surface of the gouge.
·The clearance found represents the value of
the shims to be inserted between drive pinion
and front bearing.
· The measured value should be rounded to the
nearest
0.05
mm.
Example :

·Prepare a stock consisting of the following :
· 1

· 1

mm

·Store this stock in the location provided i n
the cover of chest
