PETROL INJECTION ENGINE (KF 5 • XN 2)
INJECTION PUMP
2nd ADJUSTMENT
- Th11 adjustment is to be reahsed with the engine
hot , temperature rising.
On an engine which has been running, wait
until the temperature reaches
65° C
maximum.
Make sure that the idling speed 1s not
below :
• 900
r.p.m. for a new engine,
· 850
r.p.m . for a "run-in" engine.
- If
necessary, adjust the 1dlmg
speed
by acting
on the air bleed
screw.
- St
aside
·a 17 mm open end spanner for the thermostat
valve,
· a 10 mm open end spanner for the lock nut.
• ttle key for holding the thermostat rod,
· the gauge.
- S
acken the l ock nut
(1)
and the nut (2) .
- S art up the engine and run 1t at 1dl1ng speed.
- P1epare the gauge to insert ll between the nut (2)
and the enr1chener lever (3).
When the temperature reaches 80° C on the
thermometer,
SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE
fhe mechanic has approximately 2 minutes to
carry out the ad1ustment by acllnU on the nut (2)
while holding the rod (4) with the key.
