ENGINE
REASSEMBLY
Distributor/Oi l pump drive rod.
To install the drive rod correctly
Position N° 1 piston at T.D.C. (firing stroke)
XM and XM 7 engines.
Present the distributor drive as shown oppasite
(large side facing the fly wheel, the slot at right
;ingles to the engine).
- When ful ly engaged, the slot should be more or less
1n line w ith the cylinder head bolt hole N° 7
KF6 · KF5 - XN1 and XN2.
Present the distributor drive as shown oppasite
(large side facing away from the block. the slot
parallel to the cylinder b lock)
When fully engaged. the slot should be more or
less 1n line with the cylinder head bolt ho le N° 2.
F11 the distributor support with its machined face
smeared with sealing compaund .
