BRAKES
MASTER-CYLINDER
Ill· On Teves tandem master cylinder.
- Dip new seals
in
brake fluid, and insert in recesses
in master-cylinder.
- Fully engage the rear ferrule of the reservoir.
- Likewise the front ferrule (if necessary,

hammer handle).
- Replace the master-cylinder.
- Torque the nuts motJnted with new lock washers,
to · 7.2 ft/lbs.
(1 m.kg).
- Connect clutch feed hose.
- Gently fill the reservoir.
- When the flu id flows connect the pipe.

I· Lockheed master-cylinder
I - feed to rear brakes,
2 - feed to
front brakes.
II - Teves master-cylinder

feed to front brakes
4 - feed to rear brakes.
The pipes

are not the S<.1me
shape, hence they are not mterchangeable
- Bleed brakes (see page 02 22).
