STEERING GEAR
TRACK ROD BALL JOIHTS
DI SMAHTLIHG
·Clomp the track rod in o vice.
- Remove the
cl
1 p 8 ond the rubber boot 7.
·Disengage the spring clip 6, for the boll joint
cov~r,
using o pin punch inserted in hole a
provided.
• Then remove :
• the boll joint cover 5
· the Belleville woshers 4
• the lower nylon holf cup 3
·the bo ll heod 2
•

RE -ASSEMBLY
· Plo::e the steel holf cup
1
in the bottom of the
boll joint housing.
- Place
in
pos1t1on .

- the nylon holf cup 3
·the new Bellev;lle woshers

(note di rection of fitment).
·

boll joint cover 5.
·Compress the Belleville washers ond position
the new spring clip 6 using the opporotus F .
- Position correctly the boll heod (the pin hole
perpendiculor to the oxis of the trock rod).
- F 1t the rubber boot 7 ond the c I 1p 8.
- Grease the boll joint cover.
