- To overhaul this control it is necessary to
remove the steering column.
- Prior to removal, the position of the lower lever

on the splines of the control rod 2, should be
mcrked.
- An incorrect angular position of the lower
lever, in relation to the control rod, could effect
gear selection adversely.
Lowe r lever on the control rod
The lower lever

should be at on angle of
10°
(down words) in relation to the gear eh onge le ver

If this is not the case' :
- remove the <1Nylstop» nut
4
and the flat washer.
- disengage the lever
1
and reposition correct! y.
