BENDIX COMPENSATOR
- Empty vehicle in working order (complete With .
tools, water,

and petrol , spare wheel in pi.ice).
- Locate vehicle over a pit or on a horizontal ramµ
- Vehicle at rest on 4 wheels.
- Suspend an 11 lb. (5 kg.) weight from the compen·
sator lever slot.
- Push
in
the compensator piston
- Adjust the screw (2

until a 1.4 m/m thick feeler
is a good sliding fit.
NOT E · With an empty reservoir, adjust using a
1.6 m/m thick feeler.
- Remove the weight.
