ADJUSTMENT
IMPORTANT
- When
the handbrake has
been
slack·
ened, the
lever
(1)
for operating
the
rear brakes should
be
in
contact with
the
nylon
P<i<l
(2).
-
Prior
to making any adjustment :
·
the
system
must have been bled.
·
actuate firmly the brake
pedal
a
numtier of times
(engine running).

· Dashboard mounted handbrake
- Slacken the equalising arm nuts.
- Tighten ad1ust111g nut to give 1 to 1,5 rnm flexing
or the spring w.1sl11

Hold ad111st1rig
nut in
position and tighten
lock-out.

Handbrake
mounted between front
seats.
- Slacken the lock nuts (4).
- Slacken simultaneously the threaded ad1ustors
(5)
until the levers

1ust fail to make contact with
the nylon
pad.{2)

Re-tighten the
udjustors
(5)
a half-turn and tighten
the lock
nuts.
IMPORT
ANT
·
The
threaded
adjusters
(5)
should
protude equally.
so that
the equalising
arm 6 is per
pendicular
to the
handbrake
shaft.
