BRAKES
REPLACING A FRONT DISC
- Assembly of
hub/disc
to carrier ·
1
·
torque a new nut to, 22
ft/lbs. (3 m.kg)
then,
2
· slacken, and
3
·
re-torque to 7,2 ft/lbs. (1 m.kg).
- Do nol
lock
the nut at
this
stage.
CHECK RUN-OUT
- Mount the dial
indicator
as shown opposite.
-
When
rotated
one complete turn maximum
disc
run-out should not exceed 0.07 m/m.
- If -h
is
limit is exceeded rotate disc, in relation to
hub, and re-check for run-out.
- Locking of hub nut.
-
Rt the hub plug.
- Clean the disc surface
with
meths.
- Refit caliper (mating surfaces and bolt
threads
clean).
- Assemble
each
bolt (brushed clean) with .
·a
new
"Blocfor" lock washer.
·a
few drops of
Loct
ite, (standard
grade).
- Torque to 51 ft/lbs. (7 m.kg.)
