THE REPLACEMENT O F ONE BOOT PANEL
LOWER PANEL AND LOWER CROSSPIECE (by cutting awa y)
PR EPARING THE NEW PANELS
• Check and touch up if necessary
. Paint the inner faces
• Cu away the extremities of the crosspiece
485 mm from the I ock aperture.
• Cu away bent edges along 35 mm.
· Bore the e dges to be welded.
ALINEMENT AND ASSEMBL Y
• Position the crosspiece under the floor and
centre it in relation to the right hand edge of
the hole.
• Spot weld it to :
· the fl oor

• the ends of the old crosspiece
• the floor reinforcement
· Us ng a torch weld the ends of the crosspiece
(h)
· Centre and weld the central support (j ).
• Posit ion a nd hold the lower pane l under t he
floor using mole grips
• Spot weld it to ·
· the crosspiece
• the on e piece side extensions
• the boot floor
