• Place 1n order in the machined pinion housing

·Position the pinion in its bore, with the nut lock-
ing groove

housing.
• Starting from the vertical pos 1tion of the pinion
flange,
rotate
it
to the
left through opp.

• Push

n the pinion unti I it abuts in the bear-
ing.
·The pinion flange should
be
vertical, with
the lock nut

still in contoct with the extre-
mity of the steering box.
