HULL - FRONT PART
REPLAC ING A WING VALAHCE,A FRONT PART
OF THE BUTTRESS AHO THE FRONT FRAMEWORK
PREPARATION OF THE HEW COMPONENTS
- Trace ond cut ot o right angle the buttress 01
130 mm from 1he end of the sole plote (A).
- When making the Final cut of the fronl port and
this is fitted on the bench, there should be less
than 1 mm gap between the parts to be welded.
- Clean the edge of the components to be welded,

ADJUSTMENT AHO ASSEMBLY
- Fit the front port of the buttress on the bench.
- Place the plate al the bottom of the buttress,
centre it according to the cut (a).
- With the assembly

Spot weld the plate to the front and rear ports
of the buttress.
- Torch weld the cut of the buttress (b).
- Fit ond spot weld :
(c) - the buttress to the sole plate
(d) - the lower cross piece on its supports.
