FRONT AXLE
REFITTING

- The front oxle assembly must be mode up
of
comporients which ore clean ond free from de-
fect.
- To refit to the bodywork, chock the assembly,
under the front cross member, so thot the shock
absorbers ore leaning forward.
- Remove the connecting bor D.
- Lower the hull onto the front ox le.
- Guide the upper spring mountings into their
respective pos1t1ons.
- Secure the suspension elements to the wing
vo la nce s using new double toothed washers
ond tightening the six bo lts 1 to 7. 2 ft .lbs
(1 m.kg).
- Secure the two front axle cross members using
new Blocfor wa shers and tighten :
- the four Ml2 bolts of the moin cross member
and the two M
12
bolts of the front cross
me mber to
31 ft
.l bs (4.25 m.kg).
the four Ml 0 bot ts of the front cross member
to 27 ft . lbs (3.75 m.kg).
