BRAKES
REPLACING A REAR DISC
I
CHECKING RUN-OUT
- Mount dial indicator as shown
-
When rotated
one
complete turn maximum
disc
run-out must not exceed 0,07
m/m.
- If this limit
is
exceeded, rotate the disc
one
half-turn,
in relation to the hub carrier, and
re-
check
run-out.
NOTE
·
If
run-out
is still in excess of 0,07 m/m,
check the
hub.
-
Clean the disc surfaces with meths.
- Replace the
caliper
(ensure
mating surfaces
contact,
and all threads
clean)
- Mount each
bolts (brushed clean)
with
- a
new
"Blocfor" lock washer.
- a few drops
of
Loctite (standard grade).
-
Torque
bolts to 36 ft/lbs. (5
m.kg.)
.
- Replace
disc pads.
·torque to, 12,7 ft/lbs.
(1,75
m.kg.).
