the cantilever may have shifted from the correct position. Readjust the laser beam
position according to Section 4.2.1, "Adjusting the Laser Beam Position."
Photodiode adjustment procedure
1.
To roughly adjust the photodiode position, watch the laser beam spot on the
photodiode from the right side of the AFM head unit.
2.
Adjust the photodiode position using the X- and Y-axis positioning knobs so
that the center ( ) of the photodiode is positioned at the center of the laser
beam.
