Turn the zooming knob to set the magnification to the minimum.

Adjust the fine positioning knob so that the cantilever comes to the center of
the image.

Adjust the focusing knob so that correct focus is achieved on the cantilever.
6.
Turn the polarization filter knob so that you can see a high-quality image.
7.
Turn the zooming knob to obtain the desired magnification.
