Mounting the Tip

Below is the procedure for mounting the tip on the tip holder in order to perform STM
observation.
To mount the tip on the tip holder, insert the tip into the plunger while pushing the
plunger as shown in the figure below to align the external and internal tip-mounting
holes. Make sure that the length from the top of the tip to the surface of the tip mounting
base is 2 mm.
