Specify these items in the same way as for IV.

Specify the scanning range of the tip in the Y direction.
Specify the offset position in the Y direction. The value in Tip Offset/nm will
be added to the position in the Y direction before scanning. Usually, specify 0.
Specify the sweeping direction for the distance between the tip and the speci-
men.
Right ->Left:
First, the tip sweeps in the right direction, and then it sweeps
in the left direction.
Left -> Right:
First, the tip sweeps in the left direction, and then it sweeps
in the right direction.
Turn Feedback on or off.
Sample:
Measurement is performed with feedback turned on.
Hold:
Measurement is performed with feedback turned off.
Select Friction Force for the FFC measurement because you measure the
change of the friction force when sweeping the tip in the Y direction on the
specimen.
