5. Jack up the vehicle. Remove the safety stands from the
vehicle. Then, remove the jack.
6. Install the battery and battery carrier.
7. Connect the ground cable terminal to the negative (–) ter-
minal of the battery.
8. Ensure that the starter motor rotates smoothly.
NOTE:

The battery should be in the full charged condition.
