5. Inspection of piston ring end gap
(1) Apply engine oil to the cylinder walls.
(2) Insert the piston rings into the cylinder bore.
(3) Using a piston, push down the piston ring to a point
110 mm from the cylinder block upper surface.
(4) Measure the piston ring end gap, using a thickness
gauge or a feeler gauge.

placed.
