Programming Procedures
If the technician or system manager changes extension numbering on the
switch, using the MLX-20L console or SPM, the switch and the application
database will no longer be in agreement. To reduce the chance that such
changes will disrupt communication between the switch and the applications,
Integrated Administration includes an automatic reconciliation program that
runs every day at 3:00 a.m., comparing the application database to the switch
programming and bringing the two into agreement. The program makes
changes, as necessary, only to the application database, according to the rules
listed in Table 3-7. It does not change the switch programming.
