Edit the ams.cfg file. (If you are unsure about editing the file, you can
remove it. You are prompted to reinitialize the next time you invoke
SPM.)
To initialize SPM, follow the steps below.

Select the communications port used
by SPM by typing 1 for COM1 or 2 for

typing 1 for 1200 bps 2 for 2400 bps.

Otherwise, type n.
