Programming with SPM
Password
The Password option is used by qualified service personnel to change the
modem connection password. A password is always required to establish a
connection with the built-in modem. The password always consists of five
characters. You can perform remote system programming only if you enter the
password correctly. Note that a default password is set in the factory.

Select Password by pressing
Type the old password (which does not
appear on the screen as you type it).
If you do not type the old password
correctly, you see Not Equal at the
bottom of the screen. Type the old
password again. If you do not type the old
password correctly in three attempts, you
see Old Password in Use at the
bottom of the screen. The procedure is
terminated. Press
SPM Main Menu.
To assign a new password, type any 5
characters. (The password does not
appear on the screen as you type it.)
Type the new password again.
To return to the SPM Main Menu,
press
[ ]
to return to the
[ F5 ].
