Operating manual
GMK4100L-1
When the ignition is turned on, CCS registers the displayed telescoping sta-
tus from the current status of the telescoping mechanism and the previ-
ously saved locking and unlocking procedures.
Normally, CCS detects differences between the current and the displayed
telescoping and displays the corresponding error message;
in the telescoping mechanism , p. 14 - 17.
If a malfunction results in values being deleted, CCS can no longer calculate
the current telescoping and will not issue an error message.
Risk of damage to the telescoping mechanism
Before the first telescoping, always check whether the CCS display is
showing the current telescoping.
This prevents the telescoping mechanism being damaged when
telescoping.
•
Before the first telescoping, compare the telescoping indicated on the
CCS display with the current telescoping.
You must enter the current telescoping if the current telescoping is not
displayed correctly;
Checks for folded swing-away lattice
This section is only valid for the swing-away lattice which is automatically
swivelled during telescoping – in this case, the menu (1) is available;
à
CCS – Overview menu groups , p. 9 - 22.
Risk of damage with a folded swing-away lattice!
Be sure the swing-away lattice is in the required status before you start the
telescoping out.
This prevents the swing-away lattice from failing to swinging and a connec-
tion from being damaged.
•
Check whether the slewing connection is separated and whether the con-
necting points (2) of the swing-away lattice are among he connecting
points (1) at the main boom;

Current telescoping , p. 11 - 102.
