Reeving and unreeving the hoist rope

You must reeve a certain number of rope lines, depending on the required
load bearing capacity. Four reeved rope lines correspond, for example,

to 4-fall reeving;
To reeve and unreeve the hoisting rope, you must remove the pocket lock.
After reeving you must reattach the pocket lock.
Possible reevings on the main boom , p. 12 - 114.
Removing
Remove the linchpin (4).
Release the locknuts (3) and pull out the
pins (1). Remove the bracket (2).
Slide the padlock (5) back and remove it
from the hoist rope (6).
Positioning
Insert the padlock (5) and slide it onto the
hoist rope as far as it will go (6).
Fasten the bracket (2) to the padlock (5)
using the pin (1).
Turn the locknut (3) on the pin (1) as far as it
will go and then turn by one half turn.
Insert the linchpin (4).
