- if SOS/SLS (SBH/SG) is de-selected using bit 0, then assignment of bit 1 is irrelevant.
- if SOS/SLS (SBH/SG) is selected using bit 0, then a changeover is made between SOS (SBH) and SLS (SG)
using bit 1.
