Preparation
Clean all parts carefully. See Maintenance

Procedure
Step
1 Carry out visual inspection of sealing
surfaces.
2 Unscrew pressure sensor (oil). To do this,
see Chapter 76-70-00 section Sensors
and actuators.

3 Blow compressed air through the lubrica-
tion bore and check it is clear.

Check that the pressed–in ball is sealed.

grommet for scratches (especially
lengthways).

BEARING BUSHING — CHECK
NOTE
It is not possible to replace the bearing bushing,
as the inner bore and the lubrication bore are
machined after the bushing has been pressed.
If the bearing bushing is worn, the entire ignition
housing must be replaced.
