Hicom 150 E Office Rel.1.0 Service Manual - 13 Service
Write error during programming
You can start the APS transfer if none of the above-mentioned errors occurs. Hicom Assistant E asks
whether you want to make a copy of the customer data as an additional security measure.
The application then starts transferring the subsystems. This does not impair the switching traffic. The
flash memory card is programmed with the received data.
Notes on procedure
If the connection is interrupted during the transfer (e.g. due to a line failure), Hicom Assistant E
will start the APS transfer again manually. Only the subsystems/block not yet transferred are
transmitted.
Once a subsystem has been transferred, the checksum checks this subsystem. If a checksum is
defective, the error message "APS-Transfer checksum error" is displayed. The system
application deletes the shadow APS block. You must end the session and start it again later on.
Once all necessary subsystems have been transferred successfully, the message "APS-Transfer
successful" is output. You can then end the session.
Once the sub-APS has been transferred successfully, the subsystems of the old APS that were
not replaced are copied to the new APS block. The time required to do this depends on the
call-processing load. At the end of the copy operation, the checksum of the APS is also
checked.
The system software changes over the APS by performing a special system reset (no other
resets result in changeover). If necessary, the customer data is converted.
Telephone operation is not possible during reset or subsequent system restart.
If the new APS cannot be started the system switches back to the old APS with the original
customer data. An entry is made in the error memory.
After successful changeover, an entry is made in the error memory and the old APS is deleted.
This does not interfere with switching traffic. The deleted block is available for another APS
transfer. The positive or negative entry in the error memory is sent to the service centre.
Procedure for resuming an interrupted APS transfer
The system application transfers the flash memory card directory of the inactive APS block to the
Hicom Assistant E, which determines the missing subsystem blocks on the basis of the flash memory
card directory. The rest of the procedure is identical to the complete APS transfer procedure.
Note for "Teles card" users
A new "Capi" is required for successful APS transfer with a Teles card. You can download this "Capi"
from the Teles support server. The name of the new "Capi" is: Capi 1.1/2.0 Release 3.26.
Download/installation procedure:
Open the Teles support tool.
