Calling up the service tool
The password-protected menu service can be called up for more intensive diagnostics.
Activation: press the keys CTRL and Q and enter the name of the service technician and the service
code 17197.
(Important: the service code can be changed.) A supplementary menu (Service) then appears.
Receiving and saving trace data
The contents of the trace memory of a HICOM system can be loaded to the maintenance computer
and stored as ASCII text under any file name. The trace data can be evaluated using any editor or text
program. If a Hicom system was not yet selected, the user is prompted to select one now. If not
already entered, the customer password must be specified to load trace data.
