Terminating resistors
BC: between slots 3 + 4 and 7 + PSUI
EC1: between slots 11 + 12 and 15 + PSUI
EB2: terminating resistors are missing between slots 19 + 20 and 23 + PSUI.

MDFU/MDFU-E

The protective earth connector is to be connected to the system before the extensions are
connected.
Jumpers, external line network
The standard distribution frame is designed without an external side. It is jumpered to the incoming
line network (see jumper channel,
Figure 4-16
= MDFU-E). Use a standard wiring tool for laying the cable wires.
If you jumper terminals on the MDFU/MDFU-E (e.g. with an ICCS network) without first
entering the relocate code, the terminals affected will go into operation with their default
values when you reconnect them and any customized data will be lost.
Surge protectors (SVP)
Use the supplied surge protectors to analog line modems (SLA16), the CMI board (SLMC8) and the
loop start board (TML8W) to divert surge voltage caused by lightening strikes. Connect the polarized
