Directly adjacent to fire alarm systems, switchgear cabinets, transformer housing, motor
housings
Only if there is a safety margin of > 1 m
Directly adjacent to antennae or communication systems
Only if there is a safety margin of > 3 m
It should be noted that a BS mounted on a steel or concrete pylon does not cover the radio area
behind it.

12.8.3.2 Where should base stations be installed?

Base stations should be freely accessible, but near the ceiling (> 0.5 m away from the ceiling).
This means that the BS will not be blocked by furniture.
As close to the centre of the building as possible,
e.g. in corridors or on walls of directly adjacent rooms (in buildings using lightweight
materials).
Outside areas are part of the coverage area.
Close to windows facing in the direction of the outside area to be covered.
Architectural plans (scale of about 1:300) are very helpful for planning the installation
of base stations (BS) in buildings (identification of the installation site).
In buildings of brick or lightweight materials
Horizontal direction
A BS must be installed at least every 50 m.
Central installation in buildings
Taking into consideration the general rules.
Vertical coverage
It must be ensured that no more than two reinforced concrete ceilings are in the direct
propagation route between the BS and the area of movement of the mobile telephones.
Other BS are then, if necessary, to be distributed in accordance with the concentration of
stations or the number of mobile telephones in the radio cells.
If the distribution of mobile telephones in buildings is uniform, additional BS should preferably
be installed on the floors above or below the minimum BS requirement (see
BS arrangement: building in brick or lightweight materials
